Product identity
The TREBLEET CFexpress Type A Card Reader is a compact USB 3.1 Gen 2 adapter that lets photographers and videographers transfer footage from Sony CEA-G160T or CEA-G80T cards at up to 10 Gbps. Its aluminium body measures 67 x 65 x 12 mm and includes both USB-A and USB-C cables for immediate use with Windows, macOS, Linux, Android or Chrome OS devices.
Compatibility check
Your computer or mobile device must run Windows 7 or later, macOS 10.14.6 or later, Linux kernel 3.3 or later, Android 9.0 or later, or Chrome OS 76.0 or later and provide a free USB Type-C or USB-A port. The reader accepts only CFexpress Type-A memory cards; it will not read CFexpress Type-B, SD, microSD or any other card format.
Upgrade context
This reader replaces slower USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 card adapters that cap transfer rates at 5 Gbps or below, cutting ingest time for high-bitrate video workflows. The jump is worthwhile when you regularly offload large batches of CFexpress Type-A media and need sustained read and write performance above 900 MB/s.
