Industrial Outdoor UPoE Extender

The Trendnet TI-EU120 is a hardened network accessory that accepts one UPoE feed and splits it to two PoE+ outputs. It is built for installers who need to power cameras or access points beyond the standard cable run without adding local power supplies.

100-Metre Gigabit Limit

Each extender adds 100 metres to a gigabit PoE link for a total reach of 200 metres from the source. Daisy-chaining four units extends the chain to 500 metres, but every segment remains bound by the 100-metre Ethernet distance and gigabit line rate.

Single UPoE Input Requirement

The unit requires a 60 W UPoE source to deliver up to 30 W per output port; a standard 15.4 W PoE or 30 W PoE+ supply cannot drive both ports at full power. Buyers whose switch only provides PoE+ must budget for a UPoE midspan or injector.

Questions about this item

Should I use a single extender or daisy-chain multiple units for my cable run?

One unit adds 100 metres (328 ft.) for a total of 200 metres (656 ft.) from the source; chain up to four units to reach 500 metres (1640 ft.) total.

What does the 60 W UPoE input actually deliver to each of the two output ports?

The extender auto-detects the incoming UPoE (60 W), PoE+ (30 W) or PoE (15.4 W) signal and provides two gigabit PoE+ output ports powered from that single input.

Is the RJ-45 interface limited to 100 Mbps or does it pass full gigabit speeds?

Both the UPoE input and the two PoE+ output ports are gigabit RJ-45, so the extender passes 1 Gbps while extending power up to 100 metres (328 ft.).
