Black magnetic base with two RP-SMA connectors and 3.3 ft cables

TRENDnet

TRENDnet TEW-LB101 Magnetic Dual Antenna Mounting Base RP-SMA 1m 3.3 ft Black

SKU CH-F5DR-VH1VY

Magnetic dual antenna base extends two RP-SMA antennas up to 3.3 ft for optimal 2.4 or 5GHz signal placement

  • Extends two RP-SMA antennas up to 3.3 ft for better placement
  • Magnetic base secures to metal surfaces for flexible positioning
  • 1 m RP-SMA extension cable connects routers or access points easily
  • Supports 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz omni or directional antennas
  • Low-loss cable keeps signal degradation to a maximum of 3 dB

Magnetic Dual Antenna Mounting Base

The TEW-LB101 provides a magnetic base with two RP-SMA male connectors linked to RP-SMA female ends via a one-metre extension cable. It is designed to relocate antennas on routers, access points, or wireless adapters that use detachable RP-SMA connections. The black finish suits typical networking equipment aesthetics.

Suits users needing flexible antenna placement

Builders who want to optimise signal range by moving antennas away from chassis interference will find the magnetic mount and cable useful. It works with both 2.4GHz and 5GHz directional or omni-directional RP-SMA antennas. Buyers whose devices use fixed or non-RP-SMA antenna connectors cannot use this base.

Simple magnetic installation with cable loss note

The magnetic base attaches to any ferrous surface, and the 3.3 ft cable allows repositioning without tools. Maximum cable loss is rated at 3dB, so users should account for this attenuation when planning antenna placement. Ensure the mounting surface is clean and metallic for a secure hold.

Questions about this item

Which wireless devices can I attach the TEW-LB101 base to?

The base connects to any router, access point or wireless adapter that uses detachable RP-SMA antennas operating at 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz.

Will the 1 m extension cables reduce signal strength on my existing antennas?

Each cable introduces a maximum loss of 3 dB, so expect a modest reduction in gain compared with a direct antenna connection.

How can I verify the magnetic base is positioned for the best reception after installation?

Check the signal strength or RSSI reading in your router or adapter interface; adjust the base location until the value is highest.
