  • Detects AC and DC magnetic fields for versatile testing
  • Measures inductance from 63 H to 401 H for component analysis
  • Built-in self-test magnet allows quick function verification
  • Low battery indicator prevents unexpected power loss during use
  • Visual light alert provides immediate field detection feedback

Magnetic Field Detector ET30

The Triplett ET30 is a magnetic field detector designed for technicians who need to identify AC and DC magnetic fields. It covers an inductance range from 63 H to 401 H. A built-in self-test magnet and low-battery indicator support quick verification on site.

Use cases and limits

Suitable for electricians and maintenance staff checking transformers, motors or shielding where a simple alert light is sufficient. Not for engineers who require numerical field-strength readings, data logging or frequency analysis beyond the stated inductance window.

Deciding specification

The inductance measurement span of 63 H to 401 H determines whether the ET30 matches the component values you must test. If your application falls outside this range, a different instrument is required.
