It connects between a PoE source and a powered device using 110 IDC punch-down terminations on both sides. The IP68-rated enclosure resists dust and water immersion for reliable edge-network deployment.

Capacity and Headroom

The unit supports IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at, and 802.3bt standards with a maximum PoE capability of 100W. It delivers up to 71W to the powered device while the PSE can supply up to 90W. Gigabit data speeds are maintained across Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, and Cat8 cabling without an external power supply.

Upgrade Path

This protector replaces unprotected punch-down connections or indoor-only surge devices in exposed locations. The jump is warranted when deploying PoE cameras, access points, or IoT sensors outdoors where lightning or induced voltage spikes threaten equipment.
