Desk Mount for Phones and Tablets

The Tripp Lite DMTB413 is a full-motion desktop mount that holds smartphones and tablets with screens from 4.7 to 12.9 inches. It supports a load capacity of 2.2 lb and fits Apple, Android, Samsung and other universal devices. The large round base sits on any desk, counter or workbench for stable positioning.

Upgrade from Fixed Stands

This mount replaces static cradles that only prop a device at one angle. The ball joint tilts -160/+210 degrees, swivels -52/+52 degrees and rotates 180 degrees for portrait or landscape orientation. The jump is worth it when you need to share the screen with a customer, switch between typing and viewing or clear desk space quickly.

Capacity and Headroom

The bracket accommodates devices up to 12.9 inches and 2.20 lb, covering most current phones and mid-size tablets. It runs out when a device exceeds the screen-size range or the weight limit, such as larger 13-inch-plus tablets or heavy rugged cases. The fixed base offers no height adjustment beyond the arm's tilt and swivel range.

Questions about this item

How much desk space does the large round base of the DMTB413 require?

The large round base rests directly on any desktop, workbench or counter without clamps or bolts. It ships with all hardware needed for assembly and sits flat on the surface.

What is the correct sequence for adjusting the ball joint to avoid over-tightening?

Loosen the ball-joint knob, set the tilt between -160 and +210 degrees and swivel between -52 and +52 degrees, then rotate the holder 180 degrees for portrait or landscape before tightening the knob.

When should the spring-loaded grip arms be checked or replaced?

Inspect the grip arms if the device slips or the hold feels loose; the mount supports up to 2.2 lb, so heavier tablets may accelerate wear on the springs and pads.
