Medical-Grade Isolation Transformer

The Tripp Lite IS1000HG is a UL60601-1 listed medical-grade isolation transformer designed for patient-care environments. It provides 100 percent isolation from the input AC line with a hospital-grade plug and four NEMA 5-15R receptacles. The unit delivers continuous noise filtering and enhanced common mode surge suppression for sensitive medical electronic equipment. It reduces cumulative leakage current to less than 100 microamps.

680 Joule Surge Suppression Capacity

The suppressor handles line surges with a 680 joule AC suppression rating and active transformer filtering. It removes EMI/RFI noise, utility switching transients and harmonics generated by other on-site loads. The isolation transformer reduces 6000V IEEE587 Category A and B ring wave surges to harmless levels. Secondary neutral-to-ground bonding virtually eliminates common mode noise without wearable parts.

Low Leakage Current Operation

Faraday shield technology keeps the combined leakage current of the transformer and connected equipment below 100 microamps during normal use. The isolation transformer operates with no wearable filter components, providing continuous common-mode noise rejection. Input voltage is 120V AC with an 8.30 A line current rating and a 6 ft cord length. It serves as an alternative to dedicated circuits and site electrical upgrades.
