Blue keystone jack terminates Cat6 or Cat5e cable with 110 punch-down tooling
This blue keystone jack terminates solid or stranded copper conductors using a 110-style punch-down tool. It accepts Cat6 or Cat5e cable and presents a single RJ-45 female port for patch-cord connection. Installers working on structured-cabling projects in offices, schools or homes will find it matches standard keystone faceplates and surface-mount boxes.
As a passive component the jack generates no heat and draws no power during normal operation. No active cooling or external supply is required, so it adds nothing to the thermal budget of a cabinet or wall outlet. Noise is absent because there are no moving parts or electronic circuits.
Dual-color labeling supports both 568A and 568B (258A) pin-outs on the same unit, letting the technician follow either standard without stocking separate parts. Compliance with EIA/TIA Cat6 connecting-hardware specifications ensures the link meets Category 6 performance when terminated correctly. Builders who need shielded or tool-less termination should select a different jack type.

Use the dual-colour labels on the jack housing; match each solid and striped conductor to the printed 568A or 568B column, then seat all eight wires with a 110 impact tool before snapping on the two termination caps.
The 110 insulation-displacement contacts fatigue after multiple punch-downs; replace the entire jack rather than reusing it, while the two termination caps can be reused if their locking tabs remain intact.
The jack meets EIA/TIA Cat6 connecting-hardware specifications, so the first limit on a 45-metre channel is usually the cable itself or untwisted pair length at the termination, not the jack contacts.
