Hot-swap bypass PDU
The Tripp Lite PDUB151U is a basic power distribution unit that adds a manual bypass switch to a single-phase UPS installation. It lets technicians move connected loads to utility power without shutting them down, so scheduled UPS maintenance or replacement causes no interruption to the attached equipment.
12 A continuous limit
The unit is rated for 12 A continuous output on a 100-125 V supply even though the input plugs are 15 A NEMA 5-15P types. Total connected load must stay at or below 12 A; exceeding that rating will trip the upstream breaker regardless of the plug rating.
Dual-input cord set
Two fixed NEMA 5-15P input cables feed the internal transfer switch, and six NEMA 5-15R outlets distribute power to the rack gear. The cords are not detachable, so rack placement must accommodate both inlet cables reaching their respective wall or UPS receptacles.

Questions about this item
Should I choose the single-phase 12A version or a three-phase model for my rack?
This PDU is a single-phase 12A unit rated 100-125V with six 5-15R outlets and dual 5-15P inputs; three-phase models are not in this product line.
What does the 15A rating mean once the PDU is installed in my rack?
The 15A plugs feed the unit, but the continuous load is limited to 12A per agency derating, so plan for a maximum of 12A across the six outlets.
How do the NEMA 5-15P inputs and the manual transfer switch work together in practice?
Two 5-15P cords connect to UPS and utility; flipping the front switch to Bypass moves the load to utility power instantly, allowing UPS service with zero downtime.
