1U ATS Metered PDU

The Tripp Lite PDUMH15ATS is a 1U horizontal rackmount power distribution unit that provides an automatic transfer switch for single-corded network equipment. Dual NEMA 5-15P inputs connect to separate power sources and the unit switches automatically if the primary source fails. Eight NEMA 5-15R outlets distribute 120V power to connected devices. A two-digit current meter displays the aggregate load in amps.

Thermals noise and power draw

The PDU operates within a storage temperature range of -15°C to +50°C and tolerates 5 to 95 percent relative humidity in storage. Agency de-rating limits continuous current to 12A, delivering up to 1.44kW at 120V, 1.52kW at 127V, or 1.2kW at 100V. No active cooling fans are present so the unit adds no audible noise to the rack environment. Power passes through without conversion losses beyond the switching circuitry.

Build integration needs

The package includes a 12 ft attached primary cord and a detachable 3.6 m secondary cord with C13 to NEMA 5-15P connectors. Standard 1U rackmount brackets mount the 1.75 by 17.50 by 14.50 inch chassis weighing 11.00 lbs in any compatible rack. TAA compliance qualifies the unit for GSA schedule purchases. The ATS function frees single-corded devices from needing dual power supplies while the meter frees administrators from guessing circuit load.
