Switched 5.8 kW PDU for 2U racks

This 2U rackmount power distribution unit delivers 5.8 kW from a 30 A single-phase feed. Sixteen individually switched C13 outlets allow remote on, off, recycle or lock-out control per receptacle. The LX Platform interface reports voltage, frequency and load level over web, SNMP, Telnet or SSH. It is built for IT managers who need outlet-level power automation in a horizontal 2U form factor.

Capacity and headroom

Two banks of eight outlets each are protected by a 15 A thermal breaker, giving 3.6 kW per bank at 240 V. Continuous local and remote current metering warns before branch breakers trip. The unit runs out of headroom when combined draw approaches 30 A or when either bank exceeds 15 A. Buyers needing more than 16 switched C13 outlets or a higher per-bank limit cannot use this model.

L6-30P input and C13 output limits

A NEMA L6-30P plug on a 10 ft cord connects to 208/240 V, 50/60 Hz supplies. Sixteen IEC 60320 C13 outlets accept standard server and network cords. The switched outlets support power-up sequencing to avoid inrush overloads. Installations requiring a different input plug, output connector type or voltage range will need another solution.
