Converts 12 V DC battery power to 120 V AC with 150 W continuous and 300 W peak output through a single NEMA 5-15R outlet
Output Watt Capacity 150 W
The Tripp Lite PV150 converts 12 V DC from a vehicle battery or accessory socket into 120 V AC at 60 Hz. It delivers a continuous 150 W through a single NEMA 5-15R outlet and handles momentary surges up to 300 W. The unit plugs directly into a cigarette lighter via a 3 ft cord for immediate portable power.
A built-in 20 A fuse protects the inverter from overload without requiring active cooling fans. The metal housing dissipates heat passively during normal operation, so the device runs silently while drawing up to 150 W from the 12 V source. Peak loads of 300 W are supported only for brief instants.
The lightweight metal enclosure resists vibration and impact inside a moving vehicle. One AC receptacle limits use to a single device at a time, and the fixed 3 ft cable restricts placement to within reach of the 12 V socket. Buyers needing multiple simultaneous outlets or higher continuous wattage should consider larger units.

Plug the 3‑ft cord into a 12 V DC socket; the step people miss is checking that the vehicle outlet is live with the ignition off, otherwise the inverter will not power on.
The internal 20‑amp fuse protects against overload; if it blows you must replace it with an identical 20‑amp fuse before the inverter will work again.
Continuous output is capped at 150 W; drawing more than that trips the 20‑amp fuse, so the 150‑watt continuous rating is the first limit you hit.
