Direct UPS power restoration

The Tripp Lite RBC69-1U is a replacement battery cartridge designed to restore 24 VDC backup power to compatible uninterruptible power supply units. It serves IT administrators and facility managers who need to return an existing UPS to full runtime after the original cells have aged.

24 VDC cartridge specification

The single specification that decides fitment is the 24 VDC output rating, which must match the voltage required by the target UPS model. The cartridge carries the manufacturer model identifier RBC69-1U and was first listed in 2018.

Sealed lead-acid thermal profile

Sealed lead-acid chemistry operates silently with no moving parts, so acoustic output is negligible in normal use. The 13.15 lb mass provides thermal inertia that limits temperature rise during typical charge and discharge cycles, and power draw is limited to the UPS charging circuit.

Questions about this item

What does the 24 VDC rating mean once the cartridge is installed in my UPS?

It supplies a 24 VDC bus voltage that the UPS expects, so the unit can maintain its rated runtime when mains power fails.

Which interface standard does the RBC69-1U use and what does it limit in practice?

The cartridge connects through the UPS's proprietary battery connector, which limits compatibility to the Tripp Lite models listed for this part number.

What physical space and mounting does the 1U cartridge need to fit?

It occupies a single 1U rack height and weighs 13.15 lbs, fitting directly into the battery bay of compatible Tripp Lite UPS units.
