SKU CH-1DCE-4ZWKB

Roof-mounted cable trough routes cables across enclosure tops with toolless mounting and a grounding stud for facility tie-in

  • Segregates power and data cables inside trough

Roof-mounted cable trough

The Tripp Lite SmartRack trough sits on top of an enclosure to route power and data cables along a dedicated path. It keeps different cable types separated and reduces mechanical stress on connections. The design targets network and server racks that require tidy overhead cable management.

Toolless installation

Mounting uses the enclosure's top panel without tools, so the trough can be fitted or repositioned quickly. A grounding stud is included to bond the trough to the rack and facility ground. The main limitation is that it only works with SmartRack enclosures that have a compatible top panel.

Cable capacity and segregation

The trough provides a continuous channel for routing multiple power and data cables together while keeping them organised. It handles typical rack cable volumes but does not enclose cables or provide a lid, so very large bundles or environments requiring full containment may need additional accessories.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the cable trough is correctly grounded to the enclosure after installation?

Connect the supplied grounding stud to both the trough and the enclosure frame, then verify continuity between the stud and the facility ground point with a multimeter.

Which mounting hardware and cables are included with the trough, and what must I source separately?

The package includes the trough body and grounding stud; toolless clips attach to the SmartRack top panel. Power and data cables are not supplied.

The trough is sold as a single size — how do I decide if it fits my rack width and cable volume?

Measure the enclosure top-panel width and total cable bundle diameter; the trough spans the full panel width and segregates power from data cables.
