A 12-outlet surge protector with a 15-foot cord, 1650-joule suppression and a 20-amp circuit breaker for 2400-watt loads
The Tripp Lite SS361220 provides twelve AC receptacles, ten standard 5-15R and two 5-15/20R, fed by a 15-foot cord ending in a NEMA 5-20P plug. Rated for 2400 watts at 120 volts and 20 amps, it suits workstations, networking gear or AV racks that need a single, long-reach power distribution point. The 1650-joule suppression rating guards connected equipment against transient surges and line noise. It is built for indoor environments where multiple devices share one branch circuit.
The package includes a set of adjustable mounting clips that allow vertical or horizontal installation on walls, benches or rack posts. A lighted rocker switch with a locking safety cover prevents accidental shutdowns while giving clear power status. A resettable 20-amp circuit breaker automatically interrupts overloads without requiring fuse replacement. These accessories turn a basic power strip into a semi-permanent, serviceable installation.
The grey metal chassis measures 1.25 by 36.00 by 1.62 inches, fitting narrow cable trays or under-shelf spaces. It carries UL 1449 3rd Edition, UL 1363 and cUL markings, confirming compliance with North American surge and power-strip safety standards. The NEMA 5-20P input requires a matching 20-amp receptacle; sites with only 15-amp wall outlets cannot use the strip at its full rated capacity. Buyers needing a right-angle plug or a shorter cord will need a different model.

The integral 1650-joule suppressor sacrifices itself during a major surge; once the protection indicator goes out the strip still provides power but no longer shields connected gear, so the unit should be replaced.
The breaker is rated at 20 amps / 2400 watts and will open if that limit is exceeded, protecting the 15-foot cord and outlets from sustained overload.
The metal housing dissipates heat passively; at full 20-amp load the surface becomes warm but stays within UL 1449 and UL 1363 temperature limits, and the illuminated switch contributes negligible extra heat.
