USB-C to USB-C cable, 13 ft

This 13-foot USB-C to USB-C cable connects two USB-C devices such as a smartphone and a laptop, MacBook, Chromebook or Ultrabook. It carries USB 2.0 data at up to 480 Mbps and supports Power Delivery charging up to 100 W at 5 A. The reversible connectors attach in either direction for convenient plug-in.

Capacity and headroom: 480 Mbps data, 100 W power

The cable handles everyday file transfers, syncing and peripheral connections at USB 2.0 speeds. It delivers up to 100 W for charging laptops, tablets and phones that support USB Power Delivery. It does not carry USB 3.x or USB4 bandwidth, so large video moves or high-speed external drives will run at the 480 Mbps limit.

USB-IF certified build

Certified by USB-IF for reliable construction and performance, the black male-to-male cable works with Thunderbolt 3 ports as well as standard USB-C ports. The 13-foot length gives reach across a desk or bench without needing an extension, while the reversible ends reduce wear from repeated insertion.

Questions about this item

Will the 13 ft cable charge my older laptop that only has USB 2.0 Type-C ports at the full 100 W?

Yes, the 5 A rating delivers up to 100 W over USB 2.0, so any USB-C host that supports Power Delivery will charge at that rate.

How can I confirm the cable is operating at the rated 480 Mbps after I plug it in?

Check the host OS transfer-speed readout or run a simple file copy; a sustained rate near 480 Mbps shows the USB 2.0 link is active.

Does the box include a Thunderbolt 3 dock or power adapter, or do I need to buy those separately?

Only the USB-C to USB-C cable is included; any dock or charger must be purchased separately.
