USB 3.2 Switch for Two Computers
The Tripp Lite U315-2X4 lets two host computers share four USB peripherals simultaneously. Connect a keyboard, mouse, printer and external drive to the hub and toggle between a work laptop and a gaming desktop with a single button press. The switch eliminates duplicate devices and cable clutter on a busy desk.
Thermals Noise and Power Draw
The unit operates without a fan, so it adds no audible noise to the workspace. Power is drawn from the host USB-C ports for typical peripheral loads. An optional 3.5 mm power cable is included for situations where connected devices require more current than the hosts can supply.
Build Quality Connectors and Mounting
A compact desktop enclosure keeps the switch stable without permanent mounting hardware. Two integrated host cables feature built-in USB-A adapters, allowing direct connection to either USB-C or USB-A ports on each computer. Four front-facing USB-A hub ports provide easy access for frequently swapped flash drives or hard drives.

Questions about this item
How do I install the U315-2X4 and which step is often missed?
Connect both USB-C host cables to your computers using the built-in USB-A adapters if needed, then plug the optional 3.5 mm power cable when peripherals draw more power than the host ports supply.
What maintenance or replacement will the switch need later?
No scheduled maintenance is required; only the included host cables or power cable would need replacement if they become damaged.
What limit appears first during sustained high-speed transfers?
The four USB-A hub ports share a 5 Gbps (640 MB/s) USB 3.2 Gen 1 bandwidth ceiling, so combined throughput caps there before the host links saturate.
