Simple plug-and-play install

Connect the male USB 3.0 A plug into the host port and the two female ports are ready to use; no drivers are required on modern operating systems. The 6 ft cable length may limit placement if the host port is far from the desired desk position. The power-only port will not transfer data, so devices needing communication must use the data/power port.

Up to 5 Gbps per port

The data/power port supports transfer rates up to 5 Gbps and is backward compatible with earlier USB generations. The power-only port supplies charging current but does not carry data, so it cannot be used for storage or peripherals that require a data link.
