Two-port USB 3 peripheral sharing switch

The Tripp Lite U359-002 lets two computers share a single USB 3 peripheral such as a printer or scanner. A front-panel button selects the active host without unplugging cables. It suits small offices or home setups where one device serves multiple workstations.

Capacity and headroom

The switch supports one peripheral at a time across two connected computers. It handles USB 3 data rates for the active link. It does not support simultaneous access from both hosts or sharing among more than two systems. Buyers needing concurrent multi-user access or additional ports will need a different solution.

Questions about this item

Will this 2-port USB 3 sharing switch let me keep my older USB 2.0 printer connected alongside a newer USB 3.0 drive?

Yes, the switch supports USB 3.0 and is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 devices, so both can share the same peripheral ports.

How can I confirm the U359-002 is actively sharing a device between my two computers after I connect everything?

Press the front panel button to select the active computer; the corresponding LED lights up to show which system currently controls the shared USB peripherals.
