Right-angle USB-C extension

The Tripp Lite U421-20N-G2-RA is a 20in male-to-female USB-C cable that adds reach while keeping the plug flush against the device. It carries USB 3.2 Gen 2 data at 10 Gbps and delivers up to 60W of Power Delivery charging. The right-angle connector reduces strain in tight ports and crowded docks.

Suits tight setups, not long runs

Builders routing cables behind monitors, inside shallow enclosures or around dock corners gain clearance without sharp bends. The 1.64 ft length is too short for desk-to-tower links or cross-room charging. Users needing metres of reach should choose a longer straight cable instead.

10 Gbps data and 60W headroom

The cable comfortably handles 4K video streams, SSD transfers and 60W laptop charging simultaneously. It runs out of length for distant peripherals and cannot exceed its 10 Gbps rating or 3A current limit. Thunderbolt 3 hosts negotiate full speed automatically.

Questions about this item

What USB-C port does my device need for the male right-angle plug to fit?

The male right-angle connector fits any standard USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port on your computer, dock, or smartphone.

Will the 10 Gbps data rate and 60W charging still work if I plug this extension into an older USB 3.0 port?

The cable is backward compatible; it will operate at the older port's maximum speed and power, so you keep full functionality at reduced rates.

How can I confirm the cable is delivering the full 10 Gbps and 60W after I connect it?

Check your operating system's USB controller details for a 10 Gbps link speed and verify the charger negotiates 20 V at 3 A for 60 W output.
