30m Active Optical USB Cable

This Tripp Lite U428F-30M-D3 cable uses active optical technology to deliver USB 3.2 Gen 2 performance over a 30 metre distance. It connects a USB-A host to a USB-C device with male connectors on both ends. The black plenum-rated jacket suits installation in air-handling spaces. It is built for professional AV and data runs that exceed standard copper limits.

Installers needing long USB links

The 30 metre length serves integrators running USB signals across large rooms, through conduit or between floors where copper cables cannot reach. It is not suited for users who need a short passive cable for desktop use, who require alternate protocol support, or who need a connector orientation other than USB-A to USB-C. Buyers needing a different length should look at other options.

USB 3.2 Gen 2 over 30m

The single specification that decides fit is the 30 metre reach at USB 3.2 Gen 2 speed via active optical construction. Standard copper USB cables cannot reliably cover this distance at this bandwidth. If the installation requires a shorter run or a different connector combination, this part will not match the requirement.
