10-Outlet Power Strip for Wall or Floor Mounting

The Tripp Lite UL800CB-15 provides ten NEMA 5-15R receptacles fed by a 15 ft 14-gauge cord ending in a NEMA 5-15P plug. It accepts 120 V input at 60 Hz and is rated for 15 A total current. The metal housing measures 17.50" x 4.00" x 1.75" and weighs 5.00 lbs, with keyhole slots for secure mounting on walls or floors.

Limits of the 120 V 15 A Circuit

All ten outlets share a single 15 A branch rating, so combined draw must stay at or below that figure to avoid tripping the upstream breaker. The 14-gauge cord supports the full rating only at the stated 15 ft length; extending it with additional cords reduces capacity. No surge protection, filtering or circuit breaker is built in, so connected equipment relies entirely on the panel breaker for over-current protection.

Simple Mounting with Common Pitfalls

Keyhole slots allow the strip to hang on two screws driven into studs or suitable anchors; no brackets or tools beyond a screwdriver are required. The 15 ft cord reaches distant outlets but creates slack that must be managed to prevent tripping hazards. Ensure the mounting surface can support 5 lbs and that the plug orientation leaves the cord free of sharp bends; blocking ventilation slots on attached power bricks is the most frequent installation error.

Questions about this item

How many outlets does the UL800CB-15 provide and what plug type does it use?

The strip has 10 NEMA 5-15R receptacles and a NEMA 5-15P plug for standard 120 V mains.

What does the 15 A input current rating mean for connected equipment?

It allows up to 15 amps total draw across all 10 outlets at 120 V, matching a typical branch circuit breaker.

What cord gauge and length are used, and how does that affect voltage drop?

A 14-gauge cord at 15 feet keeps resistance low, so voltage drop stays minimal for loads up to the 15 A rating.
