Precision Power Transmission

The Tritan 50BS13H is a finished-bore steel sprocket engineered for single-strand 50 chain systems. Its 13-tooth configuration and 1-inch bore with keyway suit machinery requiring positive drive engagement in industrial or custom mechanical builds.

Build Integration

A fixed bore with dual set screws and a 1/4-inch keyway locks the hub securely onto a 1-inch shaft, eliminating slip under load. The 1 7/8-inch hub diameter and 0.657-inch projection keep the assembly compact while the black oxide finish resists corrosion in exposed environments.

Upgrade Context

This sprocket replaces worn or undersized 50-chain units where a 13-tooth pitch diameter of 2.612 inches restores correct speed ratios. It is not suited for multi-strand chains, larger bore requirements, or applications needing a different tooth count for ratio changes.

Questions about this item

What is the maximum bore diameter before the sprocket can no longer accept a larger shaft?

The maximum bore diameter is 1 in, so any shaft larger than that will not fit.

How much hub projection adds to the overall length when the sprocket runs continuously?

Hub projection measures .657 in, adding that distance beyond the sprocket face during all-day operation.

Which chain pitch must the buyer already have for the 13-tooth sprocket to engage correctly?

The sprocket is cut for 5/8 in pitch, matching chain number 50, so that exact chain is required.
