Industrial Sprocket for Chain 50

This TRITAN sprocket is a finished-bore steel component designed for single-strand 5/8 inch pitch chain. It suits power-transmission applications where a fixed 1 1/2 inch bore with keyway and set screws is required.

Keyway and Bore Constraints

The bore accepts a 3/8 inch wide by 3/16 inch deep keyway and includes two set screws for locking. Hub projection measures .657 inch and length through bore is 1 inch, limiting the usable shaft length and alignment tolerance.

Twenty-One Tooth Geometry

With 21 teeth the pitch diameter is 4.194 inches and the outside diameter is 4.52 inches, fixing the speed ratio and chain wrap for a given driver size. Buyers needing a different ratio or a larger bore must select another part.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 21-tooth version or a different tooth count for my chain 50 drive?

The 21-tooth sprocket gives a 4.194 in pitch diameter and 4.52 in outside diameter; select a different tooth count only if you need a different speed ratio or chain wrap.

What does the 4.52 in outside diameter mean once the sprocket is mounted on the shaft?

It sets the maximum envelope of the rotating assembly, so guards or adjacent components must clear a 4.52 in circle centred on the 1-1/2 in bore.

How does the 1-1/2 in fixed bore with 3/8 in keyway limit the torque I can transmit?

The keyway is 3/16 in deep by 3/8 in wide and two set screws lock the hub; torque capacity is therefore limited by the key and set-screw holding power on a 1-1/2 in shaft.
