Finished-bore steel sprocket with 40 teeth, 60 chain size, 9.56 in pitch diameter and keyway for secure power transmission
This 40-tooth steel sprocket fits #60 roller chain with a 3/4-inch pitch. The 2-inch finished bore includes a 1/2-inch wide by 1/4-inch deep keyway and two set screws for positive shaft locking. Black-oxide finish and single-strand hub design suit power-transmission drives in industrial and agricultural equipment.
Swap it when chain stretch has hooked the existing tooth profile or when a previous sprocket has wallowed out its keyway. The hardened steel teeth and fixed-bore hub restore correct pitch engagement and eliminate the backlash that accelerates chain wear.
The 9.56-inch pitch diameter and 9.98-inch outside diameter are fixed by the 40-tooth count, so the sprocket cannot be adapted to other chain sizes. Hub projection of .791 inch and 4 1/4-inch hub diameter set the minimum shaft length and clearance envelope; verify these dimensions against your drive layout before ordering.

The sprocket has a fixed 2 in bore diameter with a 1/2 in wide keyway cut 1/4 in deep, so it fits a 2 in shaft that carries a matching key.
Two set screws thread into the hub; tighten each onto the keyway flat, not onto the key itself, otherwise the key can shift and the hub will loosen.
Check the black-oxide coating for wear and the two set screws for proper torque during regular drivetrain maintenance; replace screws if threads strip or the hub shows fretting.
