Precision power-transmission component

The Tritan 80BS21 is a finished-bore roller-chain sprocket built for single-strand 80 pitch drives. Its 21-tooth steel body and 1 1/4 inch keyway bore suit industrial machinery that demands positive engagement and exact timing.

Single-strand 80 pitch constraint

The sprocket accepts only one strand of 1 inch pitch chain, so multi-strand or smaller-pitch installations cannot use it. Hub projection of 1.175 in and a 4 1/4 in hub diameter fix the axial space required on the shaft.

21-tooth count defines speed ratio

With a pitch diameter of 6.71 in and an outside diameter of 7.24 in, the 21-tooth geometry sets the driven speed for a given driver. Buyers needing a different ratio must select another tooth count.

Questions about this item

How do I pick the right version of this sprocket for my chain?

Match the chain number 80 and the 1 in pitch to your existing roller chain; the 21 tooth count then fixes the speed ratio.

What does the 6.71 in pitch diameter mean once the sprocket is mounted?

It sets the effective radius where the chain engages, so the driven shaft turns at a ratio of 21 teeth to the driver sprocket.

How does the 1 1/4 in bore with keyway limit installation?

The fixed bore fits only a 1 1/4 in shaft; the 1/4 in keyway and two set screws lock rotation and axial position.
