A cast-iron square flange bearing with a 40 mm radial ball insert, four bolt holes on 101.9 mm centers and a 130.1 mm square footprint
The Tritan UCF208-40MM is a four-bolt square flange unit designed for fixed shaft support in power-transmission equipment. Its 40 mm cylindrical bore fits standard metric shafts and the double-sealed radial ball insert arrives pre-lubricated with NLGI #2 equivalent grease.
The cast-iron housing measures 130.1 mm square overall with mounting holes on 101.9 mm centres, providing a rigid base that resists distortion under load. Four bolt holes allow secure attachment to flat machine frames and the fixed expansion type keeps the shaft axially located during operation.
This unit serves as a direct drop-in replacement for failed UC208-40MM bearing inserts in existing square flange housings. The upgrade is justified when the original insert shows excessive play, seal failure or contamination damage and the housing itself remains dimensionally sound. Not for applications requiring floating expansion or non-metric shaft sizes.
