A new radial ball flange bearing with a 2 1/2 in bore, cast iron housing and double seals for fixed mounting
This Tritan UCF213-40 is a 4 bolt flange bearing designed for power transmission applications. It uses a radial ball insert made from alloy steel and is housed in a cast iron square housing. The unit is double sealed and comes pre-lubricated with NLGI #2 equivalent grease. It is suited for maintenance teams and machinery builders.
The bearing insert type UC213-40 fits directly into the cast iron housing as a fixed expansion unit. The jump is worth it when the existing bore shows wear or the seals have failed. A cylindrical bore diameter of 2 1/2 in matches the shaft without adapters. Buyers needing a floating or expansion type unit cannot use this fixed housing.
The lubricant and seal materials define the practical temperature window for continuous use. Mount hole centres sit at 5 55/64 in with an overall height and length of 7 13/32 in. The blue finish identifies the brand but does not affect the rating. Installers without the exact bolt pattern or temperature margin should verify compatibility first.

The mount holes form a square pattern with a centre-to-centre height of 5 55/64 in, and the overall flange measures 7 13/32 in both height and length.
Installers frequently forget to apply NLGI #2 equivalent grease to the radial ball insert before seating it, leaving the double-sealed bearing under-lubricated from the start.
At sustained high temperatures the NLGI #2 equivalent grease degrades faster, so plan to purge and repack the double-sealed insert every six months or after 2 000 operating hours.
