Flange Bearing for Shaft Support

This new rhombus flange bearing from Tritan mounts with two bolt holes and includes a UC205-16 insert. The cast iron housing holds an alloy steel radial ball bearing with double seals. It suits maintenance teams and equipment builders who need a fixed expansion unit for 1 in shafts.

Suits Standard Mounting Patterns

The two hole rhombus pattern fits many conveyor and fan housings where a compact footprint is required. Buyers who want more storage or need a pillow block or four bolt flange style should look at other housing types. The fixed expansion design does not accommodate axial shaft growth.

1 Inch Cylindrical Bore Diameter

The bearing insert accepts a 1 in cylindrical shaft and is secured with set screws in the UC205-16 insert. Double seals and NLGI #2 equivalent grease protect the single row of rolling elements. Operating limits run from -40 Degrees F to 250 Degrees F.

Questions about this item

How does a 1 inch bore diameter translate to actual shaft fit?

The cylindrical bore accepts a 1 inch shaft directly; the double-sealed radial ball insert and set-screw locking hold it without an adapter sleeve.

What does the two-bolt rhombus flange pattern limit for mounting?

Two holes on a rhombus housing fix the bearing to flat surfaces only; the 1 13/32 inch overall height and 5 1/8 inch length set the bolt-centre envelope.

What clearance does the 1 13/32 inch overall height demand inside the machine frame?

Allow at least 1 13/32 inches of vertical space above the mounting face; the cast-iron housing and UC205-16 insert sit at that height once bolted down.
