Wide-Angle Prime for Fuji X

The TTArtisan 17mm F1.8 is an APS-C autofocus prime lens built for Fujifilm X-mount cameras. Its 25mm full-frame equivalent focal length and 81-degree angle of view suit street, travel and documentary photographers who want a wide, natural perspective in a compact package.

Stepping Motor Autofocus

A stepping motor drives smooth, quiet autofocus that keeps up with moving subjects and works well for video. The 0.18 m minimum focusing distance lets you get close to details while still including the surroundings, useful for vlogs or environmental portraits in tight spaces.

F1.8 Aperture Limits

The bright f/1.8 maximum aperture helps in low light and creates six-point starbursts from point sources at night. Stopping down to f/16 increases depth of field for landscape scenes. The 14-element, 10-group optical design aims to control aberrations across this range.

Questions about this item

Will the stepping motor need servicing or replacement after heavy autofocus use?

The stepping motor drives autofocus silently with no user-serviceable parts; normal use does not require scheduled maintenance.

What limits continuous shooting with the f/1.8 aperture wide open?

Heat buildup in the 14-element optical group is the first limit during extended bursts at f/1.8.

How much heat and noise does the lens produce during all-day video recording?

The compact 161-178 g barrel stays cool and the stepping motor runs near-silent, adding negligible noise or heat.
