Replacement CPU and GPU cooling fan

This fan is a direct replacement for the MacBook Pro A1278 MB990LL/A Mid 2009 13 inch model 661-4946. It serves builders and repair technicians who need to restore normal cooling after fan failure or excessive noise. The unit targets the CPU processor and GPU graphics card thermal solution.

Verify model and connector before purchase

Remove the existing fan and compare it carefully with the listing photographs to confirm physical match. The replacement uses an integrated flex cable that connects via a multi-pin connector ranging from two to six pins. No soldering is required, but the correct pin count must match the mainboard header.

New unit tested before shipping

The black cooler arrives new and is tested by the supplier prior to dispatch. Installation demands special skill and technique; the seller advises performing the swap with the laptop powered off. Buyers uncomfortable with internal laptop disassembly should seek professional fitting.
