Power Inverter for Traffic & Parking Systems

The Tundra M2500 is a modified sine wave inverter built for traffic and parking lot installations. It converts 12V DC input into 120V AC output at 60 Hz with a continuous rating of 2,500 W and a peak rating of 5,000 W. The steel case houses three NEMA 5-15R outlets for connected equipment.

Hardwired Terminal Installation

Installation uses DC connection terminal blocks for a permanent hardwired link to the 12V source. The modified sine wave output suits resistive loads but can cause issues with sensitive electronics or certain motor-driven devices. An included LCD remote control allows monitoring without opening the enclosure.

Sustained Load Behaviour

At 93 percent efficiency the unit delivers its full 2,500 W continuously rather than only in short bursts. The steel chassis helps dissipate heat during extended operation in outdoor cabinets. Peak capacity of 5,000 W handles brief startup surges without tripping.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the inverter is delivering 2,500 W continuous power after installation?

The LCD remote control shows real-time output so you can verify the unit is supplying up to 2,500 W continuous and 5,000 W peak at 120 V AC, 60 Hz.

Which cables or accessories must I purchase separately to connect the 12 V DC input?

The inverter uses DC terminal blocks for the 12 V DC supply; battery cables and lugs are not included and must be sourced to match your battery bank.

Should I choose the hard-wired outlets or the two NEMA 5-15R receptacles for my 120 V AC loads?

Both are present — two NEMA 5-15R outlets for plug-in devices and a hard-wired connection for permanent loads — so you can use either or both simultaneously.
