Weathered Gray Nightstand with Metal Base

The tuphen Alvear nightstand is a new bedroom piece finished in a modern weathered ash gray with black drawer pulls. It measures 17.8"W x 16.8"D x 22.25"H and uses a frame of solid tropical wood and MDF with particle board laminate panels. A single roomy drawer on smooth ball-bearing glides provides bedside storage for everyday items.

Daily Use and Durability

English dovetail construction and ball-bearing glides keep the drawer operating smoothly through repeated opening and closing. The slatted drawer face adds visual texture while the engineered wood body and metal base supply a stable footprint. The weathered laminate finish resists minor surface wear under normal bedroom conditions.

Simple Base Attachment

The nightstand body arrives fully assembled; only the metal base requires attachment using the included hardware. Most buyers complete this step in minutes with basic tools. The main issue is aligning the base brackets evenly so the unit sits level on uneven flooring. Buyers who want a completely tool-free setup or additional drawers should consider other configurations.

The drawer runs on smooth ball-bearing glides with English dovetail construction, so it opens and closes quietly even with daily use.

What tools or parts do I need to finish assembly?

Will the 17.8" width and 16.8" depth fit beside a traditional bed frame?

At 17.8" wide and 16.8" deep the nightstand has a compact footprint that suits most standard bedside spaces alongside older frames.
