72 inch Solid Wood TV Stand

The tuphen Amherst is a low-profile media stand handcrafted from solid wood with a Hickory Brown stain and protective NC lacquer. Its 72 inch width supports televisions up to 80 inches while providing a large central opening with an adjustable shelf and two side cabinets for components.

Construction and stability

Solid wood construction gives the unit a sturdy feel on its tapered legs and the included anti-tip kit secures it to the wall. Cord management cut-outs at the rear keep cables tidy during installation and the protective lacquer resists everyday wear without requiring special maintenance.

72 inch width for large screens

Buyers needing a stand narrower than 72 inches or deeper than 18.9 inches should look elsewhere, as will anyone who wants a fully assembled piece because assembly is required.

Questions about this item

How do I install the anti-tip kit included with this 72 inch wide stand, and what step is often missed?

Attach the supplied brackets to the back panel and secure them to a wall stud; the step often missed is confirming the bracket screws bite into a stud rather than only drywall.

What maintenance will the Hickory Brown NC lacquer finish need over time?

Dust with a soft cloth and occasionally apply a quality furniture wax to maintain the protective lacquer and highlight the solid wood grain.

What is the first limit reached when loading the central adjustable shelf during sustained use?

The shelf is adjustable but designed for typical media components; exceeding its intended load will cause noticeable sag before any structural failure.
