Handcrafted solid-wood media stand

The tuphen Amherst stand is handcrafted from solid wood and hand-finished in Black with a protective NC lacquer. It suits living rooms that need a 72-inch-wide centrepiece for a television up to 80 inches. Transitional styling adds tapered legs, a molded crown-edged top and antique bronze knobs.

Daily use and cable routing

A large central open area holds media components while two drawers and two framed-door cabinets keep clutter hidden. Each side cabinet contains one adjustable shelf for flexible organisation. Cord-management cut-outs at the rear simplify routing power and signal cables without visible mess.

Assembly and space constraints

The unit arrives flat-packed and requires assembly before use. At 19 inches deep and 26 inches high it fits standard room layouts but will not suit very shallow alcoves or spaces needing a lower profile. Buyers who want a ready-to-use cabinet or a narrower footprint should consider other options.

Questions about this item

Does the black NC lacquer finish resist heat from a soundbar or console running all day?

The hand-finished black NC lacquer is a protective coating on solid wood; it handles normal living-room temperatures but is not rated for sustained high-heat output from equipment placed directly on the surface.

What tools or hardware must I already have to assemble the stand?

Assembly is required and the unit ships with metal drawer glides and antique bronze knobs included; you will need a basic Phillips screwdriver and possibly a hammer or mallet for the tapered-leg joints.

Will my existing 19-inch deep AV receiver fit on the centre shelf behind the framed doors?

The cabinet depth is 19 inches, so a 19-inch deep component fits exactly; the adjustable shelf in each side cabinet can be repositioned if you need extra clearance for cables at the rear.
