Full-Size Upholstered Platform Bed

The tuphen full-size platform bed combines a metal and wood frame with a grey cotton-linen upholstered headboard. Vintage-patterned wood panels and high-density foam padding give the headboard a modern-retro look. Integrated hydraulic lift storage, a headboard shelf, and a side pocket provide space for bedding, devices, and small items. Assembly is required before use.

LED Lighting and USB Charging

A remote-controlled LED strip runs along the head and foot boards, offering adjustable colour and brightness for ambient or reading light. A built-in USB socket on the headboard shelf lets you charge phones or tablets overnight without extra adapters. The fabric cover and foam padding remain cool to the touch during normal use. No fan or active cooling is present, so the bed operates silently.

Hydraulic Storage Under Sustained Load

The gas-spring hydraulic mechanism lifts the mattress platform smoothly to reveal a large under-bed compartment, even when the bed is fully made. Wooden and metal slats distribute weight evenly across the frame for consistent support night after night. The structure is designed for daily opening and closing cycles without loss of lift force. Long-term durability depends on correct assembly and even weight distribution.

Questions about this item

How do I install the hydraulic storage system, and which step do people get wrong?

The gas-lift pistons mount to pre-drilled brackets on the metal frame; the common mistake is tightening the bolts before both pistons are seated, which mis-aligns the lift mechanism.

What maintenance will the LED lighting and USB port need later?

The LED strip runs on a low-voltage driver that cannot be user-serviced; if colours fade or the remote fails, the whole driver unit must be replaced. The USB socket is a standard 5 V port — keep it free of dust and avoid forcing oversized plugs.

What limit shows up first when the bed is used every night with a heavy mattress?

The wooden slats on metal rails carry the full mattress-and-sleeper load; sustained weight beyond the frame's rated capacity will cause the centre slats to bow first.
