Multi-functional ottoman for living spaces

This tuphen ottoman combines a coffee table, foot stool and extra seating in one piece. The lift-top mechanism creates a raised surface for a laptop, tablet or casual dining. A child-safety hinge prevents the lid from slamming. The large compartment beneath the top stores blankets, remotes or magazines out of sight.

Assembly and common issues

The unit arrives flat-packed and requires assembly using the included hardware and instructions. Most buyers complete the build in under an hour with a screwdriver. The most frequent issue is misaligning the lift hinges, which can cause the top to sit unevenly; checking hinge orientation before tightening screws avoids this.

Lift-top with child-safety hinge

The defining feature is the spring-assisted lift top that locks in the raised position and uses a child-safety hinge to control the descent. If you need a stationary surface without moving parts, this mechanism adds complexity you will not use. Buyers who want a fixed-height table should consider a non-lift design instead.
