Mid-Century Storage Ottoman

The tuphen Shay ottoman is a new piece of occasional furniture upholstered in distressed chestnut brown vegan faux leather. Hand constructed from solid wood, engineered woods and high-density foam, it features a tufted mid-century design. A lift-up lid with a child safety hinge reveals a large interior storage compartment. Assembly is required.

Suits living rooms needing hidden storage

It works well for households that want a coffee table, footstool and extra seating in one piece while keeping clutter out of sight. The child safety hinge makes it practical for family spaces. Buyers who need a fixed-height table surface without a moving lid or who prefer genuine leather should look elsewhere.

34.25" wide with interior cavity

The 34.25" width, 26" depth and 18.5" height provide a generous top surface for trays or décor and a deep cavity beneath the lid for blankets, games or toys. The foam cushioning supports seated use, but the single compartment limits organisation for smaller items.

Questions about this item

Do I need any tools to assemble the 34.25" W storage ottoman?

The product requires assembly and arrives with all necessary hardware and instructions included.

Will the 18.5" H lift-up lid clear the armrests of my existing mid-century sofa?

At 18.5" high the ottoman matches standard seat height, so the lid opens above most sofa arms without interference.

How can I verify the child-safety hinge on the lift-up lid is functioning correctly after assembly?

Open the lid fully; it should stay in the raised position without falling and close with a slow, controlled motion.
