Mid Century Storage Ottoman

The tuphen Shay ottoman is a new mid century style occasional table upholstered in distressed saddle brown vegan faux leather. Hand constructed with solid wood, engineered woods and high density foam, it features a tufted top and a lift up lid revealing a large interior storage space secured by a child safety hinge. The piece serves as a coffee table, foot stool, accent furniture or extra seating in a living or family room. Assembly is required.

Check Space and Assembly Before Ordering

Verify the footprint of 26" D x 34.25" W and the height of 18.5" H against your available floor area and existing seating height. Confirm you have the tools and time for assembly, as the unit arrives unassembled. Note that the finish is described as dark brown and colour may vary from screen images due to monitor and photography differences.

Suits Compact Living Rooms Needing Hidden Storage

Buyers wanting a multi purpose ottoman with a safety hinge and tufted mid century look will find this a practical match. Those who need a larger surface area, a specific leather grade, or a fully assembled piece should look at other options.

Questions about this item

Does the box include tools or hardware for assembly, or do I need my own?

Assembly is required and the package contains all necessary hardware and an instruction sheet; no additional tools are needed beyond a standard screwdriver.

Should I pick the distressed saddle brown finish or look for a lighter shade to match my sofa?

The only finish offered is distressed saddle brown in vegan faux leather, so choose this if you want that mid-century tone or select a different model for another colour.

Will the 34.25-inch wide top hold a tray of drinks without tipping when the lid is lifted?

The solid wood frame and child safety hinge keep the lid stable when open, so a 34.25-inch wide surface easily supports a serving tray.
