TurboTorch 0426-4001 Piezo Ignitor Torch

This hand torch uses a piezo ignitor for trigger-start ignition without a separate striker. It runs on MAP-Pro or propane from standard 14.1 oz or 16 oz cylinders. The 360 degree swirl head produces a preset swirl flame suited to soft soldering and silver brazing tasks. Plumbers and HVAC technicians will find it matches common fuel and joint sizes.

Check cylinder size and fuel type before ordering

The torch accepts only 14.1 oz or 16 oz cylinders and is rated for MAP-Pro or propane. Heating capacity is 13,536 BtuH on MAP-Pro and 12,917 BtuH on propane. Verify that your existing cylinders match these sizes and that your application does not require a different flame adjustment method. The preset flame cannot be manually regulated.

360 degree swirl head with 180 degree tip swivel

The head rotates fully through 360 degrees while the tip swivels 180 degrees for access around pipework. Soft solder capacity reaches 2 1/2 inches on both fuels; silver braze capacity is 3/4 inch on propane and 7/8 inch on MAP-Pro. California Proposition 65 warning applies.

Questions about this item

What comes with the TurboTorch 0426-4001 and what do I need to buy separately?

The torch ships as a single unit with a piezo trigger-start ignition and a 360-degree swivel head. You must supply a compatible 14.1 oz or 16 oz MAP-Pro or propane cylinder.

Which fuel cylinder size should I choose for the 0426-4001?

Both 14.1 oz and 16 oz cylinders fit the torch. MAP-Pro delivers 13,536 BtuH while propane provides 12,917 BtuH, so select the fuel type that matches the heat output you need.

What does the 13,536 BtuH rating mean when I am actually brazing?

With MAP-Pro fuel the torch produces 13,536 BtuH, enough to soft-solder up to 2 1/2 in copper and silver-braze up to 7/8 in tube in real-world use.
