Product Identity

The TY-RAP TY33M is a 4-inch natural nylon 6/6 cable tie rated at 18 lb tensile strength. It suits installers who need a miniature, screw-mountable strap for securing small wire bundles in panels or enclosures.

Installation Notes

The tie mounts with a #4 screw through its integrated tab and locks via a stainless steel barb. The 0.09-inch width and 0.04-inch thickness allow it to fit tight spaces, but the 5/8-inch maximum bundle diameter limits use to very small cable groups.

Critical Specification

UL Type 21 and plenum-rated, it withstands -40 to 185 degrees F and is halogen-free for indoor air-handling spaces. It is not weather-rated for outdoor exposure and lacks flame-retardant or metal-detectable properties.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the TY33M tie is holding at its 18 lb tensile strength after installation?

Pull the strap until the stainless-steel barb clicks into the locking head; the tie should not slip when the bundle is loaded up to 18 lb.

What comes in the package and do I need separate mounting screws?

The pack contains the nylon 6/6 tie with integrated #4 screw-mount hole; #4 screws are not included and must be purchased separately.

Which TY-RAP version should I choose for a plenum-rated, halogen-free 4-inch tie?

The TY33M meets UL type 21, is plenum rated and halogen-free, making it the correct choice for that specification.
