Cable tie with ID tag

The Tyrap TY46M is a natural nylon cable tie measuring 7.25 in actual length and 0.19 in width. It uses a stainless-steel barb locking mechanism and includes a marking pad oriented parallel to the strap for easy identification. The tie is halogen-free and plenum rated for use in air-handling spaces.

50 lb tensile strength and 1 3/4 in bundle capacity

Rated at 50 lb tensile strength, the tie secures bundles up to a nominal maximum diameter of 1 3/4 in. It operates across a temperature range of -40 to 185 degrees F, maintaining grip in cold and hot environments. The single-strap design limits use to one-time fastening without reusability.

Nylon construction with UL Type 2 21S rating

The basic material is nylon with a thickness of 0.05 in, offering weather resistance and a UL Type 2 21S classification. It is flame retardant rated no and not metal detectable, so it suits general indoor routing rather than safety-critical detection zones. Outdoor use is not rated, restricting deployment to protected areas.

Questions about this item

Will the 7.25 in length and 1-3/4 in max bundle diameter fit around the existing cable loom in my older rack?

The tie measures 7.25 in actual length and accommodates bundles up to 1-3/4 in diameter, so compare those figures with your loom circumference before installing.

How can I verify the stainless-steel barb is locking correctly after I pull the tie tight?

Pull the strap until the barb clicks into the next ratchet tooth; the tie should hold firm without slipping when you tug the bundle gently.

Does the pack include mounting bases or tools, or do I need to buy them separately?

Only the cable ties themselves are supplied; mounting bases, tensioning tools and cutting pliers are sold separately.
