Black-light bar for glow parties

Two 12.6-inch fixtures emit UV-A light between 385 and 410 nanometres so fluorescent paints, posters and body art glow vividly. Each bar draws 10 watts from a standard USB port and includes a 63-inch cable with an on/off switch for simple placement at Halloween events, Christmas displays or bedroom decor.

USB power keeps heat and noise low

The LED array runs on DC 5 volts supplied by any power bank, laptop or USB adapter, so the housing stays cool during extended use and there is no fan noise. A power factor above .9 means efficient draw from the host device, and the 120-degree beam angle spreads light evenly without hot spots.

Plug-and-play UV-A at 385-410 nm

The wavelength range is the single specification that determines whether fluorescent materials will react; if your project needs a different UV band this fixture will not activate those pigments.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the 12.6 in fixture and what step is often missed?

Use the 4 screws with the 4 plastic anchor fittings for wall mounting, or the 4 double-side tape strips for smooth surfaces; the missed step is inserting the anchor fittings into the wall before driving the screws.

What maintenance will the 10W LED black light need after the 25000 hour rated life?

The LED array is not user-replaceable; once output drops below useful UV-A intensity the entire 1ft fixture must be replaced.

What limits continuous operation when plugged into a laptop USB port?

A laptop port typically supplies .9 A at 5 V, which is below the 10 W requirement, so the fixture will dim or shut off under sustained use.
