Suited for desk and mobile listening

Buyers who want a simple plug-and-play speaker for a laptop, phone, tablet or Xbox will find the USB power and Bluetooth pairing convenient. The 60 Hz to 16 kHz range covers music, video and casual gaming audio. Users who need deeper bass extension, a built-in battery for true portability or an auxiliary input should look at something else.

6 W total output from dual 3 W drivers

The sound bar delivers 6 watts of combined RMS power through two 3 watt drivers at 2.8 ohm impedance. Signal-to-noise ratio is 75 dB and frequency response spans 60 Hz to 16 kHz. This single power figure determines whether the volume and clarity meet your near-field listening needs.

Questions about this item

Does the BT87 need a separate wall outlet or battery to operate?

No, the BT87 draws power from any USB port supplying 5 V DC, so a laptop, desktop, power bank or USB charger is sufficient.

Can I pair the BT87 with my phone while it stays plugged into the PC for power?

Yes, a double-click on the top button switches the speaker to Bluetooth mode while the USB cable remains connected for power.

How can I confirm the BT87 is delivering its rated 6 W stereo output after setup?

Play audio at maximum volume; the top-mounted knob controls level directly and the 75 dB signal-to-noise ratio indicates clean output at full power.
