5 GHz sector antenna delivering 22 dBi gain with three 30° beams for high-density multipoint deployments
The Ubiquiti Networks AP-5AC-90-HD is a 5.15-5.85 GHz sector antenna built for point-to-multipoint deployments. It targets network operators who need 90° total coverage split into three independent 30° sectors using Rocket 5ac Prism radios. Buyers who want an all-in-one radio and antenna or who require omnidirectional coverage should look elsewhere.
As a passive antenna the unit draws no power and generates no noise of its own. Thermal performance depends entirely on the three Rocket 5ac Prism radios mounted to the integrated brackets. Maximum VSWR is rated at 1.75:1 across the 5.15-5.85 GHz band.
The antenna provides dual-linear polarization with 22 dBi gain and 8° electrical beamwidth plus 2° downtilt. Six RP-SMA connectors link each radio to its dedicated 30° beam. A breakthrough single-mast design holds three radios at top middle and bottom positions reducing tower footprint and installation cost. Radios are not included.

Install each radio at the top, middle, and bottom positions; the step often missed is matching every radio to its own 30° sector so the 90° coverage is correct.
Inspect the six RP-SMA connectors and cables for corrosion or looseness after storms, and verify the 2° electrical downtilt has not shifted on the bracket.
The 1.75:1 maximum VSWR across the 5.15–5.85 GHz band is the first limit that appears under continuous heavy traffic.
