Compact cylindrical outdoor radio in white weatherproof housing with N-type connector and single Ethernet port

Ubiquiti Networks

Ubiquiti Networks Bullet AC Dual-Band 2.4 5 GHz 300 Mbps 22 dBm

SKU CH-68Y8-BZ59Q

Dual-band outdoor radio delivering 300+ Mbps at 5 GHz and 160+ Mbps at 2.4 GHz with 22 dBm output, weatherproof housing and N-type antenna connector for plug-and-play airMAX basestation deployment

  • Dual-band 2.4 and 5 GHz coverage for flexible link planning
  • Up to 300 Mbps real TCP/IP throughput on 5 GHz
  • 22 dBm output power extends outdoor range
  • Weatherproof case withstands harsh outdoor conditions
  • Plug-and-play N-type connector turns any antenna into an airMAX basestation

Integrated dual-band radio

The Bullet AC is a fully integrated 802.11ac radio covering both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. It connects to any antenna with an N-type female connector to create an airMAX basestation. The weatherproof case is built for harsh outdoor conditions. Plug-and-play configuration simplifies deployment for wireless ISPs and long-distance links.

Sustained throughput on each band

On the 5 GHz frequency the radio delivers 300+ Mbps real TCP/IP throughput. On the 2.4 GHz frequency it provides 160+ Mbps data transfer rates. These figures represent carrier-class performance under continuous load rather than short bursts. A single Gigabit Ethernet port handles the wired backhaul without bottlenecking the wireless link.

Outdoor power and thermal profile

The unit operates at 22 dBm output power across both bands. Power over Ethernet removes the need for a separate power supply at the mast. The sealed enclosure manages heat passively in direct sun and freezing temperatures. No moving parts means silent operation and long-term reliability in exposed locations.

Questions about this item

How much heat or power draw should I expect from the 22 dBm radio when it runs continuously?

The unit draws power through its PoE port and the weatherproof case is designed for outdoor durability, so it dissipates heat passively without a fan.

What antenna and cabling must I already have to connect this N-type radio?

You need an antenna with an N-type female connector and a shielded Ethernet cable to carry both data and PoE power to the Bullet AC.

Will the 2.4 GHz band at 160 Mbps work reliably with older 802.11n client devices on the same link?

Yes, the dual-band radio supports legacy clients on 2.4 GHz while delivering up to 160 Mbps throughput on that band.
