A 2.4 GHz directional antenna delivering 24 dBi gain with a 6.8° beam width and 28 dB front-to-back ratio for long-range links up to 200 km/h wind survivability
The Ubiquiti Rocket Dish delivers 24 dBi gain across the 2.3 to 2.7 GHz band. Its 6.8° vertical beam width and 28 dB front-to-back ratio focus energy for long-distance point-to-point links. The design suits wireless ISPs and enterprise installers who need reliable throughput over kilometres. It is not for users seeking omnidirectional coverage or indoor access-point antennas.
As a passive antenna the unit generates no heat, draws no power and produces no acoustic noise. The 1.7:1 maximum VSWR ensures efficient energy transfer from the connected radio. Wind survivability is rated to 200 km/h, so the dish maintains alignment in severe weather. No active cooling or power budgeting is required.
The 650 x 650 x 295 mm reflector weighs 9.8 kg and ships with a universal rod, missile bracket and weatherproof RF shields. Installation calls for a Philips No. 1 screwdriver, 16 mm or 5/8" wrench and a 24 mm wrench. Category 5 or higher shielded cable with a drain wire must be used and grounded through the PoE earth connection. The hardware suits mast mounting but not lightweight pole clamps or non-shielded cable runs.

Mount the dish using the included universal rod and missile bracket with a 16 mm or 5/8" wrench and 24 mm wrench; the step most often missed is using Category 5 shielded cable with a drain wire and grounding it through the AC ground of the PoE injector.
Inspect the weatherproof RF shields and all mounting hardware after severe weather; replace any corroded bolts or cracked shields to maintain the 28 dB front-to-back ratio and 1.7:1 VSWR performance.
The 6.8° beam width requires precise alignment; wind loading up to 200 km/h can shift the dish, causing signal loss before any thermal or electronic limit is reached.
