The bidirectional wavelength pair carries both transmit and receive traffic on a single core, simplifying infrastructure planning.

LC simplex connector and wavelength pairing

A single LC simplex port accepts the fiber patch cord and handles both directions through the blue 1310 nm / yellow 1550 nm wavelength split. TX emits at 1310 nm and receives at 1550 nm on the blue side, while the yellow side reverses the pair. This arrangement removes the need for a second fiber run and keeps patch-panel density high.

No extra accessories required

The module ships ready to install in any compatible SFP cage; no separate cables, adapters or configuration software are bundled. Network teams simply pair it with a matching BiDi unit at the far end and connect the single-mode patch cord. Power and monitoring are handled entirely by the host switch or router.
