SKU CH-CHKT-H66EJ

An 8-port Gigabit Layer 2 switch with four PoE+ ports delivering up to 30 W each from a 52 W budget, fanless for silent operation

  • Silent operation with fanless cooling design
  • Four PoE+ ports deliver up to 30W per device
  • 52W total PoE budget powers multiple endpoints
  • Eight Gigabit ports expand wired network capacity
  • Managed via UniFi Network Controller software

Silent fanless PoE switch

The UniFi Lite 8 PoE is an eight-port Layer 2 managed switch with four Gigabit PoE+ ports and four standard Gigabit ports. It delivers a 52 W PoE budget with up to 30 W per powered port. A fanless design keeps the unit completely silent in a home office or small business.

For PoE cameras and access points

Ideal for deployments that need a few powered devices such as security cameras, VoIP phones or wireless access points without fan noise. Not suited for installations that require more than four powered ports or a total PoE budget above 52 W.

52 W budget with 60 W adapter

Four PoE+ ports share the 52 W pool so a typical mix of cameras and access points fits comfortably. The budget runs out when several devices draw near 30 W each, leaving no headroom for additional powered endpoints.

Questions about this item

What external power adapter is required for the 52W PoE budget?

The switch needs an external 60W power adapter to deliver the full 52W PoE budget across the four PoE+ ports.

Can the four PoE+ ports power devices that only support the older 802.3af standard?

Yes, the four PoE+ ports are compliant with both 802.3af and 802.3at, so they will negotiate and power older PoE devices within the 30W per-port limit.

How can I confirm the switch is passing traffic and supplying PoE after installation?

Adopt the switch in the UniFi Network Controller to view port link status, PoE power draw per port and total consumption against the 52W budget.
