Eight-Port 10G Aggregation Switch

The USW-Aggregation is an eight-port, Layer 2 managed switch built for 10G SFP+ connectivity. It delivers a total non-blocking throughput of 80 Gbps with a switching capacity of 160 Gbps and a forwarding rate of 119.04 Mpps. The fanless design ensures silent operation in rackmount environments.

SFP+ Interface Constraints

All eight ports use the SFP+ form factor, so compatible transceivers or direct-attach cables must be sourced separately for each link. The switch provides 30 W maximum power consumption from an internal 36 W universal AC supply, leaving no PoE budget for attached devices. Management occurs in-band through the Ethernet ports.

Layer 2 Feature Set Determines Fit

This switch supports VLANs, LACP aggregation, STP and RSTP, IGMP snooping, 802.1X control, MAC and IP ACLs, DHCP snooping, port isolation, storm control and port mirroring. It does not perform Layer 3 routing, so networks requiring inter-VLAN routing need a separate router or Layer 3 device.
